The Procurement Service (PS) issues this warning to the public against persons and entities misrepresenting themselves as members and agents of the PS, by using the names of its officials and personnel, and issuing communications using the official logos of the PS for financial gain. Such acts are in violation of Republic Act 3815 otherwise known as the Revised Penal Code of the Philippines and Republic Act 10175 otherwise known as the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012.
PS abides by the principles of transparency and honesty, in preserving the integrity of Philippine government procurement projects and strongly condemns these illegal acts and misrepresentations. PS in no uncertain terms, denies involvement or participation in these illegal, deceitful, and fraudulent machinations; and is taking the appropriate legal action and measures to prevent and put an end to these schemes. Further, it is the policy of the PS to require the highest form of ethics and decency in the performance of tasks by officers and staff. Any fraudulent, corrupt, collusive and coercive practice will be dealt with sanctions and penalties under Republic 6713 or the “Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees".
