The Procurement Service – Department of Budget and Management (PS-DBM), led by Executive Director Genmaries S. Entredicho – Caong, joins the DBM in the celebration of its 89 th anniversary, which culminated on April 25, 2025.
Anchored on the Department of Budget and Management’s Agenda for Prosperity, PS- DBM’s implementation of procurement reforms would not have been initiated without the vision of its mother agency, under the excellent leadership of Secretary Amenah F. Pangandaman.
In this age of procurement transformation, ushered in by the passage of the New Government Procurement Act (NGPA), PS-DBM recognizes the significance of efficient and transparent public procurement in contributing to the fulfillment of DBM’s mandate to effectively manage and utilize government resources. This ultimately results in the prudent and accountable use of public funds—leaving no Filipino behind.
Bannering the theme, “DBM @ 89 - Greatest Hits: Turning Up the Heat, Keeping the Beat,” the week-long celebration paid homage to the culture and vibes of early 70s until 2010s. Beyond this period, the relevance of DBM remains timeless.
