Geared toward equipping its workforce with extensive knowledge and skills to facilitate learning sessions and deliver presentations effectively, the Procurement Service-Department of Budget and Management (PS-DBM) hosted the “Training the Trainers Workshop: A Practical Approach in Training Design, Delivery, and Evaluation,” facilitated exclusively by the Ateneo Graduate School of Business-Center for Continuing Education (AGSB-CCE) for PS-DBM on February 10-11, 2026, at the Ateneo de Manila University Salcedo Campus, Makati City.
PS-DBM Executive Director (ED) Genmaries Entredicho-Caong led the training roster of 20 participants and two facilitators from various PS-DBM divisions and offices. In her welcome remarks, she underscored PS-DBM’s commitment to life-long learning and acknowledged that as the changing times present new and more challenges, the need for training and trainers rises exponentially as well.
“We are developing our human capital into a pool of trainers to capacitate more individuals as they soon initiate the transfer of knowledge among the agency’s key stakeholders—both internal and external,” said ED Gen.
The workshop formed part of the PS-DBM’s Learning and Development program, designed to improve the competency of its existing pool of trainers in leading knowledge-sharing activities with internal and external stakeholders. Moreover, Mr. John Tigno, a learning and organizational development consultant from AGSB-CCE, served as the resource person for the two-day training, guiding the participants on building and delivering effective training programs.
The activity, spearheaded by the PS-DBM Research and Training Division, with assistance from the Human Resource Development Division, was also aimed at elevating the quality of in-house training and capacity-building programs, ultimately cultivating a strong culture of learning and knowledge-sharing throughout the agency. | March 3, 2026/CM
