In conjunction with the conduct of the PS-DBM on Wheels (PoW) in Pasig City, the Procurement Service-Department of Budget and Management (PS-DBM) led the turnover of the motor vehicles to the city’s local government unit (LGU) on February 24, 2026, at Maybunga Rainforest Park.

Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto lauded the PS-DBM’s ongoing initiatives to modernize and streamline the public procurement process, which resulted in the successful delivery of the three motor vehicles ordered through the eMarketplace—comprising a passenger van, multi-purpose vehicle (MPV), and utility van.

“Ako po ay talagang sumasaludo sa PS-DBM at nasubukan na nga po namin yung bagong eMarketplace po natin…Isa po ito sa mga paraan para maging mas simple ang proseso, mas mabilis ang proseso, at kasunod po nito ay nakakatipid pa ang mga local government units,” said Mayor Vico in his message, expressing his trust and satisfaction over the online procurement platform.

The motor vehicles, valued at around Php 5.5 million in total, generated more than Php 145,000.00 in savings when compared to the market price.

During the turnover ceremony, Mayor Vico was joined by DBM Secretary Rolando Toledo, PS-DBM Executive Director Genmaries Entredicho-Caong, the PS-DBM Executive Management Committee, and other officials from the Pasig City LGU.

Apart from MPVs, passenger vans, and utility vehicles, the eMarketplace offers a wide range of vehicle types for purchase, such as buses, minibuses, SUVs, and sedans.

With its “add to cart” feature, the eMarketplace allows procuring entities to search, view, compare, select, and purchase common-use supplies and equipment (CSE), including motor vehicles, airline tickets, and software and licenses. | March 5, 2026/CM
