Reinforcing its continuing efforts to advance digital innovation in public procurement, the Procurement Service–Department of Budget and Management (PS-DBM) formally onboarded Google Cloud Computing Services (CCS) into the eMarketplace, the official e-commerce platform of the Philippine government for the procurement of common-use supplies and equipment (CSE), in June 2026.
This availability of CSE in the eMarketplace, sold at the most advantageous price for the government, came on the heels of the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on May 25, 2026, between PS-DBM and Maroon Studios, Inc., the primary fulfiller and local partner for Google Cloud solutions in the Philippines, at the DBM Boncodin Hall.

Held in conjunction with the MOA signing was the launch of the PS-DBM’s Green Technology Products, which aimed to expand the roster of environmentally responsible CSE in the Virtual Store and eMarketplace. Google CCS was among the recognized green technology solutions introduced under the initiative, amplifying the PS-DBM’s commitment to sustainable and technology-driven government procurement.
The onboarding of CCS aims to reduce government operational costs; specifically, committed-use discounts with a one-year lock-in period provide government client-agencies with savings of up to 30 percent compared to prevailing market rates.
“All these collective efforts from both the government and the private sector clearly demonstrate that the shift toward sustainable and energy-efficient solutions is no longer a distant aspiration but a shared and pressing responsibility,” ED Gen highlighted during the launch of the green technology products.
Its integration supports President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr.’s goals of strategic digitalization among government digital infrastructure and reinforces Department of Budget and Management Secretary Kim Robert de Leon’s advocacy for green public procurement reforms and advances a transformative, innovative, digitally empowered, and future-ready procurement system.
