The Procurement Service-DBM (PS-DBM) Executive Director (ED) Genmaries “Gen” Entredicho-Caong joined Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Acting Secretary Kim Robert de Leon and Government Procurement Policy Board–Technical Support Office (GPPB-TSO) Director General Rowena Candice Ruiz in the Philippines Business Mission to discuss strategic ties, regional leadership, ease of doing business, and digital transformation on August 20, 2026, at the Conrad Manila, Pasay City.

The Philippines Business Mission is the annual meeting of the United States-Association of Southeast Asian Nations (US-ASEAN) Business Council (USABC) members with the Philippine government and priority stakeholders to help reinforce the importance of US-Philippines business relations, understand the Philippine government’s priorities, highlight how the U.S. private sector can support the administration’s agenda, and build partnerships for economic growth.

For her part, ED Gen shared key procurement updates, particularly on efforts to update and expand the common-use supplies and equipment (CSE) catalogue and onboard additional items in the eMarketplace, the official e-commerce platform of the Philippine government for CSE. She also shared information on the merchant onboarding process for suppliers interested in participating in the eMarketplace. At present, the eMarketplace offers motor vehicles, including hybrid and electric vehicles (EVs); airline tickets through the Government Fares Agreement (GFA) program; software and licenses; and cloud computing services.
The meeting supports President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s governance by leveraging the international private sector’s expertise to advance digital transformation in government services, while reinforcing the agency and DBM’s commitment, led by Secretary de Leon, to promoting an accountable, efficient, and technology-driven public procurement system.
