The Procurement Service-PhilGEPS will conduct an industry consultation for the requirement of the Philippine National Police (PNP) on the procurement of Patrol Jeep and Caliber 9mm Pistol (Striker Fired) on Thursday, June 2, 2016 at the PS Conference Room, DBM Compound, Cristobal St., Paco, Manila to discuss the Specifications /Terms of Reference (TOR), Test Parameters and other matters.

Details

All government agencies are advised to prepare their APRs at their respective offices to expedite the process of ordering in the PS-PhilGEPS. The APR forms may be downloaded from the website - (http://www.procurementservice.gov.ph/home/index.php/downloads).

The kiosks provided at the PS-PhilGEPS office located in Paco, Manila are for government agencies that do not have their own computers at their offices to prepare APRs or those who have erroneously utilized old APR forms.

Microsoft Philippines in cooperation with Procurement-Service-PhilGEPS, hosted the first CIO Summit for Public Sector from April 6, 2016 to April 8, 2016 at Amorita Beach Resort, Panglao Bohol.

With a theme “Digital Pilipinas- Transformation Starts with Us,” Microsoft and PS-PhilGEPS gathered IT experts from different government agencies to take the lead in transforming and optimizing digital data in creating government services.

The 3-day summit provided the participants the knowledge and fresh insights on the trends on Information Technology. Speakers from Philhealth, SSS and from other government sectors shared how they changed the way they function through strong data governance and citizen participation. On the other hand, other agencies identified their needs and opened the possibility of adopting the best practices to their agencies as well. Speakers also gave lectures on mobile government, shared services and crowd sourced citizen participation which will help the government agencies in the Philippines fast track its services.

Medium-term Information & Communications Technology Harmonization Initiative (MITHI) is an e-government project of the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) and Department of Science and Technology-Information and Communications Technology Office (DOST-ICTO) that aims to harmonize and ensure inter-operability among ICT-related resources, programs and projects across the whole of government. PS-PhilGEPS aggregated the ICT hardware requirements of government and procured these through competitive public bidding.

We are pleased to announce that the Desktop and Laptop Computers under Project MITHI are NOW AVAILABLE. These items are pre-installed with Windows 10 (64-bit) Operating System.

The Procurement Service – Philippine Government Electronic Procurement System (PS-PhilGEPS) under the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) has entered into a Government Fares Agreement (GFA) with the Philippine Airlines (PAL) that will ensure savings and efficiency in government domestic travel. The signing ceremony was held last April 26, 2016 at the PS-PhilGEPS office in Paco, Manila.

The government has allocated P10.3 billion for the domestic airline travel of officials and employees for the year 2016 and through the Agreement, it is expected to save P830.93 million from discounts on economy class travels and P519.38 million from the waiver of the processing fee.

Korea Public Procurement Expo (KOPPEX) is an annual event where domestic and international participants exchange valuable and practical information with respect to public procurement. Organized by Public Procurement Service (PPS), the central public procurement agency of the Korean government, KOPPEX invites over 250 companies to showcase their flagship and new technology products at 800 booths making it the largest exhibition for public procurement suppliers in Korea. Since its first launching in 2000, KOPPEX has been an important venue for promoting new technology Small to Medium Enterprise (SME) products in the public procurement market, where public buyers catch up with the new technology trends and interact with outstanding SMEs.

In parallel with KOPPEX 2016, there was also a Launching Ceremony of OECD Public Governance Review “The Korean Public Procurement Service: Innovation for Effectiveness” and an international workshop on cross-border participation in public procurement market and e-procurement.

 The invited participants were Mr. Paul Jasper V. de Guzman of Marketing Division, Mr. Jack G. Mercado of Technical Working Group, Mr. Jeffrey M. Bertumen of Warehousing & Logistics Division and Ms. Mary Ann G.
