The Procurement Service-Philippine Government Electronic Procurement System (PS-PhilGEPS) continuously strengthens its partnership with merchants, such as Microsoft Philippines, Philippine Airlines and Intel Microelectronics Phils. Inc., by conducting client engagement activities with them for the second quarter of 2016. A series of roadshows were conducted with Microsoft Philippines, together with its fulfiller Wordtext Systems, Inc. (WSI), in different venues: April 13, 2016 - Max’s Restaurant, TFC Bldg. National Hi-way, Brgy. Palanan, San Fernando City, La Union April 15, 2016 - Contis Restaurant, Nuvali, Sta. These workshops covered discussions and presentations on Microsoft’s latest products involving interactive presentations, demos and discussions with subject matter experts on the Cloud Solution Provider Program, Office 365, Azure and Windows 10 while WSI discussed with client-agencies the PS-PhilGEPS Microsoft Volume Licensing procurement process.

Microsoft also conducted an event entitled “Microsoft Empowers Government Agencies through Cloud” on April 29, 2016 at F1 Hotel, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City. The workshop presented Office 365 and discussed how it helps the Philippine government in terms of productivity, collaboration and security and enhances a modern workplace and working via mobility.

In the area of aggregating domestic air travel and to kick-off the implementation of the Government Fares Agreement (GFA) between the PS-PhilGEPS and Philippine Airlines, an orientation and hands-on training was conducted on May 25, 2016 at the PAL Learning Center, P. Faura cor. Adriatico St., Malate, Manila and was attended by a total of 48 participants from different government agencies.

On June 28, 2016, PS-PhilGEPS and Intel conducted the “1st Digital Government Event” at Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria, Pasig City that presented the Intel roadmap and benchmarking, data center for cloud and security, internet of things and its hardware partners such as Cherry Mobile, Red Fox and Felta.

Besides presenting the latest products and various new offerings of each partner-merchant, client engagement activities organized and co-managed by the Marketing Division of PS-PhilGEPS also become a venue for the PS-PhilGEPS to update its client agencies on the latest improvements and efficiencies that the agency offers to improve on its service delivery. It was also an avenue for new projects and advisories to be presented and discussed by the PS-PhilGEPS.
