The Procurement Service - Department of Budget and Management (PS-DBM) takes honor and pride in the appointment of Atty. Faydah M. Dumarpa, the agency’s head of the Administrative and Finance Group (AFG), as the newest Commissioner of the Commission on Human Rights (CHR).
As AFG Director, Atty. Faydah supervises PS-DBM’s Planning and Budget, Comptroller, General Services, and Human Resource Development divisions.
Prior to her appointment in PS-DBM, Atty. Faydah had an extensive and progressive work experience in the government sector — having served in the House of Representatives, Senate, National Power Corporation, and National Nutrition Council, among others.
Atty. Faydah earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration – Marketing from the Philippine School of Business Administration, and later pursued graduate studies in Far Eastern University. She finished law from San Beda University and passed the Bar in 2011 to become a full fledged lawyer.
Atty. Faydah is the daughter of former Lanao del Sur 1 st District Congresswoman Faysah Dumarpa and former Commissioner of the National Labor Relations Commission Atty. Salic Dumarpa.
Known for her strong sense of leadership, responsibility, and accountability, Atty. Faydah’s hard work, professionalism, probity, and integrity have contributed to the development of transformational reforms and policies in PS-DBM.
Officially appointed by the Philippine President pursuant to the provisions of existing laws, Atty. Faydah’s term as a CHR member will run until May 2029.
