The Procurement Service – Department of Budget and Management (PS-DBM) met with the Philippines’ biggest airline companies — namely, the Philippine Airlines, Cebu Pacific, and Air Asia Philippines — which are also its partner airlines under the Government Fares Agreement (GFA) on February 7, 2023 to plan and discuss activities which aim to reintroduce airline tickets in the list of common-use supplies and equipment (CSE)

During the meeting, both PS-DBM and airline representatives raised issues and challenges commonly met by client-agencies in order to enhance the existing framework. This effort forms part of the ongoing streamlining of PS-DBM processes and procedures to ensure that the reinvigoration of GFA is efficient, well-received, and well implemented by the stakeholders.

PS-DBM understands that the accessibility of airline tickets as a mobility tool in the exigency of service of all government agencies will allow a smoother movement of people, goods and, services — resulting in an efficient delivery of public service.

Airline tickets from Philippine Airlines, Cebu Pacific Air, and airasia Super App Philippines remain available for registered client-agencies via the 24/7 GFA online portal: https://ps-philgeps.gov.ph/.../what-we-sell/airline-tickets
