In anticipation of the Virtual Store (VS) rollout to its regional depots nationwide, the Procurement Service - Department of Budget and Management (PS-DBM) conducted PS Client Learning Engagement (PS-CLE) on June 29, 2023 via Google Meet to discuss the features and functionalities of VS among the client-agencies of PS Pampanga Depot. The activity was led by the Customer Service Team of the agency’s Marketing and Sales Division.

Presently utilized only by client-agencies of the PS-DBM Main Office in Paco, Manila and nearby provinces, the VS is a one-stop online platform of the modernized Philippine Government Electronic Procurement System (PhilGEPS) to select, view, search,  and procure Common-use Supplies and Equipment (CSE).

In attendance were 101 representatives of local government units in Pampanga, as well as Bataan, Nueva Ecija, Tarlac, Zambales, and Bulacan.

Delivering the opening remarks, Mr. Jeffry Pangilinan of the PS Pampanga Depot welcomes this development as an opportunity to address stocking and delivery issues in the regions by adopting a robust system that would provide end-to-end supply chain management. This is anchored in the PS-DBM 12-point agenda which also includes the beefing up of regional warehouses through stock-priming.

More sessions of PS-CLE are set to be conducted for other regional depots. Concurrently, the Training Team also holds the activity for the PS-DBM Main Office clientele. Only recently, representatives of LGU Caloocan, Manila, and Pasig attended the same training on June 15, 2023.
