In her trip to Cagayan De Oro (CDO) on May 8, 2024, to lead the 18th Meeting of the National Government-Bangsamoro Government Intergovernmental Relations Body (IGRB) as co-chair, Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Secretary Amenah F. Pangandaman took the time to visit the Procurement Service-DBM (PS-DBM) Depot Office Region X - Northern Mindanao (R10).
Accompanied by DBM Undersecretaries Wilford Will L. Wong and Goddes Hope O. Libiran, Sec. Pangandaman received a warm welcome from DBM R10 Director and Depot Supervisor Rudylia C. Parrel, Assistant Depot Supervisor Michael Kevin T. Macesar, and other PS CDO Depot personnel.
In her message during her visit, the Budget Secretary reechoed her advocacies that promote digitalization, open government partnership, and gender equality through women empowerment.
In a report by the Usapang Budget Natin, Sec. Pangandaman was quoted, “Nandidito po tayo para maglingkod sa taumbayan… It’s connected — digitalization, transparency, efficiency, ease of doing business.”
For its part, PS-DBM, under the leadership of Executive Director Dennis S. Santiago, is likewise conducting facility tours and warehouse inspections of its network of depot offices and hubs nationwide to ensure the agency's operational continuity in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
Anchored on its 12-point agenda, PS-DBM is prioritizing further improvements in its logistics, supply chain management, and stock-priming, among other strategies, to implement policy reforms geared towards transforming the public procurement process.
