The Procurement Service – Department of Budget and Management (PS-DBM) has received a remarkable rating in the National Research Council of the Philippines’ (NCRP) evaluation of supplier performance in 2023 — a testament to the agency’s steadfast commitment to continuously improving its delivery of public services for its stakeholders, including its client government agencies.
In a letter dated June 13, 2024, signed by Mr. Bernardo N. Sepeda, Ed.D., Executive Director of NRCP — an attached agency to the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) that promotes and supports problem-oriented research to identify national issues and provide solutions — PS-DBM is given a final rating of Excellent (E) for the fulfillment of all its transactions with NRCP for calendar year 2023.
In the supplier rating sheet provided by the NRCP, covering transactions from August to December 2023, PS-DBM garnered a perfect score of “5” which equals to the final “excellent” rating. This rating is based on the following criteria: timely delivery, quality of service and products, completeness of delivered quantity, and ability to handle complaints.
With “3” as the passing mark, PS-DBM’s perfect score is proof of its relentless drive to excellently fulfill its mandate as the government’s central purchasing arm of Common-use Supplies and Equipment (CSE).
PS-DBM takes pride in receiving this recognition from one of its client government agencies for it affirms the transformational initiatives it implements, anchored on the agency’s 12-point Reform Agenda. These efforts are further strengthened with the passage of the New Government Procurement Act (NGPA), which mandates all government agencies including local government units to procure CSE from PS-DBM.
In relation, PS-DBM is gearing up for spearheading more programs and projects for the benefit of its stakeholders, making public procurement more efficient, transparent, streamlined, and modernized. | August 12, 2024/LR
