The PS had its newly renovated dormitories and the just-constructed Retail Store blessed after the celebration of the Holy Eucharist that coincided with the annual Christmas gathering on December 22, 2014. The occasion was graced by Honorable DBM Secretary Butch Abad.

The dormitory for male and female personnel is intended to provide a safe and sanitary quarter for live-in motorpool and janitorial staff and for PS personnel who render overtime work and choose to stay overnight at the office. Guidelines for the proper use of the dormitories have been issued by the PS General Administrative Services Division.

The Retail Store, which will be implemented by April 2015, will process small value orders for commonly required supplies and equipment. Client agencies who are not procuring in bulk quantities will be served by the Retail Store in order to facilitate ease and efficiency in their procurement transactions. Guidelines and advisories on the ordering process for the Retail Store will be issued by the Procurement Service. Presently, the processes and procedures for the retail ordering system are being developed.
