Representatives of the Procurement Service - Department of Budget and Management (PS-DBM) met with experts from an international data security company today, March 14, 2023, to discuss privacy regulations and best practices in data sanitization.

Defined as the process of securely deleting data when an organization's information and communication technology (ICT) assets reach their end-of-life, data sanitization ensures the complete erasure of sensitive data stored in ICT equipment.

In light of the agency's efforts to promote digitalization, this is relevant to PS-DBM's updating of its cybersecurity — in compliance with global data protection laws on security measures.

Also present in the event were DBM Functional Group Head of the Information and Communications Technology Group and Chief Information Officer, Usec. Maria Francesca M. Del Rosario (center), and representatives from other government agencies and private entities.
