The Procurement Service - Department of Budget and Management (PS-DBM), led by Executive Director Atty. Dennis S. Santiago, met with the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Advocacy Communications and Training Service (ACTS) Director Atty. Diana C. Camacho-Mercado; Assistant Division Chief Atty. Giselle P. Landicho; and Division Chief Aileen P. Afunggol on March 20, 2023 to strategize a joint effort in offering courses and training modules for the capacity development of the PS-DBM employees.
Following the establishment of its Training and Research Academy Committee (TRAC) early this year, PS-DBM recognizes the need to collaborate with its mother department to explore the benchmarking of the agency’s Capacity Development Division. The meeting also zeroed in on DBM’s best practices in experiential and asynchronous learning.
The dialogue was spearheaded by key members of the PS-DBM TRAC, as well as representatives from the Human Resource Development Division (HRDD) and Planning and Budget Division (PBD). This forms part of HRDD’s employee engagement activities initiated by its Learning and Development Section aimed at further enriching its workforce as a well-rounded set of procurement officers.
PS-DBM believes that the successful implementation of its transformational reforms and policies heavily relies on the competence of its people — honed through teamwork, collaboration, and capacity building.
