Continuing the series of facility tours by request of interested government agencies, the Procurement Service - Department of Budget and Management (PS-DBM) hosted an Information Program Visit (IPV) and a warehouse tour for the Coast Guard Logistics System Command (CGLSC) — one of the major Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Commands — on July 27, 2023.

This activity was aimed at equipping CGLSC personnel with extensive logistics management  training before assuming the duties of logisticians and other related positions.

“We are looking forward to a continuous partnership with you relative to education and training of our logistics students by providing them with knowledge and understanding of what PS-DBM processes are and how you do it,” CG CDR Michelle Bencito said, expressing her gratitude to PS-DBM.

Apart from the facility tour that oriented CGLSC on the PS-DBM warehouse process and the role of logistics in supply chain management, a comprehensive lecture on the use of Virtual Store (VS) of the modernized Philippine Government Electronic Procurement System (mPhilGEPS) was also facilitated.

PS-DBM continues to strengthen its partnership with other government agencies through these engagements as it pushes for the implementation of transformational reforms and policies anchored in its 12-point agenda.
