The Procurement Service - Department of Budget and Management (PS-DBM) welcomes the appointment of Atty. Genmaries S. Entredicho-Caong as the Acting Executive Director of PS-DBM, effective July 4, 2024.
Her appointment follows the laudable leadership of Atty. Dennis S. Santiago — a "trustworthy" and "very able" public servant admired by his colleagues and peers.
The PS-DBM is honored to have worked with Atty. Santiago, especially at a time when the agency needs to implement substantial and concrete reforms. In two years, guided by his 12-Point Agenda, PS-DBM is now back on track in realizing its mandate as the central procurement agency of the government.
Ushering in an era of transformation, Atty. Santiago steered PS-DBM towards numerous milestones. He led the PS-DBM Team which introduced significant amendments to the proposed New Government Procurement Act, which is a priority piece of legislation of the administration. He also paved the way for the creation of the PS-DBM eMarketplace, which shall soon serve as the government's main e-commerce platform. Atty. Santiago also spearheaded the implementation of various activities geared towards enhancing PS-DBM’s relationship with its stakeholders, as well as improving internal services and processes in order to elevate customer experience for suppliers and clients alike.
PS-DBM cannot overstate its gratitude towards Atty. Santiago, and while it laments his departure, PS-DBM is assured of a bright future ahead under the leadership and guidance of Acting Executive Director Entredicho-Caong — who has proven her expertise in the field of public procurement and is a key player in implementing vital reforms in the agency.
Thank you very much, ED Dennis! We look forward to continuing your legacy as ED Gen takes the helm at PS-DBM. | July 5, 2024/KR
