The Procurement Service-Philippine Government Electronic Procurement System, an attached agency under the Department of Budget and Management, together with Philippine Airlines (PAL) and Cebu Pacific Air conducted its second of four activities involving an orientation and walkthrough on the Government Fares Agreement (GFA) with the theme “The Smarter and More Efficient Way to Fly” last February 24, 2017 at the Philippine International Convention Center, PICC Complex, Pasay City.
The participants, this time, came from government-owned and controlled corporations and government financial institutions. These agencies were feted to discussion on the GFA which makes official air travel more convenient and accessible to the workforce of the government.

Study Tour of Delegates from Vietnam

The Vietnamese delegation headed by Deputy General Director Nguyen Ahn Tuan.
A month after the visit of delegates from Mongolia, the Department of Budget and Management’s PS-PhilGEPS and GPPB-TSO, together with the World Bank Group (WBG), welcomed the delegation from Vietnam who visited the country on February to learn about Philippine government procurement processes and reforms. The delegation was headed by Mr. Nguyen Ahn Tuan, Deputy General Director of the Public Procurement Agency (PPA) of their Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI).
DBM Secretary Benjamin E. Diokno, in his opening remarks, informed the delegation that with an excellent procurement service and process, greater transparency is achieved, expenses are channelled to more productive programs and projects, and delivery of public service is sped up. He further added that it is a privilege for DBM to be able to share the knowledge and practices of our country.

In partnership with the two of the biggest airlines in the country, the Philippine Airlines (PAL) and Cebu Pacific (CEB), the Procurement Service – Philippine Government Electronic Procurement System (PS-PhilGEPS), an attached agency of the Department of Budget and Management (DBM), conducted an Orientation and Walkthrough on the Government Fares Agreement (GFA) with the theme “The Smarter and More Efficient Way to Fly.” The activity was held at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) last February 10, 2017.
