To further strengthen its quality assurance systems, the Procurement Service Department of Budget and Management (PS - DBM), through its Inspection Division, recently completed a two batch technical visit to the Department of Science and Technology Industrial Technology Development Institute (DOST- ITDI) on July 16 and 17, 2025.
The Procurement Service - Department of Budget and Management (PS-DBM) officially marked a new chapter in its regional operations with a groundbreaking ceremony on June 30, 2025 for the construction of a new building that will house the PS Tuguegarao Regional Depot.

In view of the implementation of Republic Act No. 12009, otherwise known as the New Government Procurement Act (NGPA), the Procurement Service – Department of Budget and Management (PS-DBM) actively participated in the Orientation Workshop on the NGPA for Commission on Audit (COA) Auditors. Held on 14 and 16 July 2025, the workshop brought together more than 200 state auditors from various regions across the country. The event was collaboratively organized by the Government Procurement Policy Board – Technical Support Office (GPPB-TSO), in partnership with COA.

In relation to #PSAdvisory 2025-006 dated June 26, 2025, announcing the unavailability of Microsoft Software and Licenses in the Procurement Service - Department of Budget and Management (PS-DBM) beginning June 30, 2025, this notice is being issued to remind client-agencies that the selection of the appropriate mode of procurement from other sources shall be based on the technical and legal requirements of the procurement project. This means that no specific mode of procurement, such as Direct Contracting, is automatically allowed.

The Procurement Service - Department of Budget and Management (PS-DBM) is cognizant of the Office of the Ombudsman’s order to file charges against several former officials and employees of PS-DBM in relation to their involvement in the procurement of allegedly overpriced and outdated laptops for the Department of Education (DepEd) in 2021.
