The Procurement Service–Department of Budget and Management (PS-DBM) took part in the 5th round of negotiations for the Philippines–European Union Free Trade Agreement (PH–EU FTA) held from March 2 to 6, 2026, at the Square-Brussels Convention Centre in Brussels, Belgium. The agency participated alongside the Government Procurement Policy Board-Technical Support Office (GPPB-TSO) as part of the Philippine delegation engaging with European Union counterparts on various trade-related chapters, including government procurement.

Procurement Service-Department of Budget and Management (PS-DBM) Executive Director (ED) Atty. Genmaries Entredicho-Caong, following the invitation from the Government Procurement Policy Board – Technical Support Office (GPPB-TSO),  served as a resource speaker in the New Government Procurement Act (NGPA) Caravan to discuss the agency’s role in advancing transparent and efficient government procurement at the Bataan Peninsula State University (BPSU) Main Campus in Balanga, Bataan, on February 19, 2026.

The information session, spearheaded by the Government Procurement Policy Board–Technical Support Office (GPPB-TSO) in partnership with State Universities and Colleges (SUCs), sought to shed light on key procurement reforms under the NGPA.

By invitation from the Association of Local Budget Administrators of Region I (ALBA-I), the Procurement Service–Department of Budget and Management (PS-DBM) hosted the client learning engagement (CLE) focused on the use of the features and functionalities of the modernized Philippine Government Electronic Procurement System (PhilGEPS) from February 18 to 20, 2026, at the Clark Freeport, Mabalacat City, Pampanga.
